Scaling beyond 100 employees is a fantastic opportunity for me as a COO to set strong foundations for growth. In my experience, you start by codifying your culture. What values do you encourage, and what behaviors do you expect to deliver on your mission? And how do these attract the best candidates to join us?

Second, for the key areas of the business, we will have to define what I call predictable, efficient outcomes. It ranges from all possible topics such as do we know how to request and book travels in a cost-effective way, to the processes and policies we have to provide the best employment experience.

Finally, it’s a great moment for us to be intentional and consistent, and structured in our communication. Communication is as much an art — since we need to be creative and inspiring — as a science — because it requires a lot of understanding of how our brains work and how they interpret information. Mastering this at scale is a great challenge that I am looking forward to.

I feel like Tadaweb is at this crossroads now that we are a multi-site, 100+ organisation and I have great confidence that we are well-positioned for healthy growth in the coming years.

Bruno is the Chief Operating Officer at Tadaweb. Prior to joining, he spent 20+ years in financial and consulting roles, led Operations and Product teams at Amazon, and angel-invested in startups. A husband and father of two, he enjoys playing music and challenging Father Time by playing organized basketball weekly.
